How long will it take to recieve my custom made jewelry?
It generally takes 5-7 days after payment has been received to create your jewelry prior to shipping. Custom handwriting and artwork jewelry can take 2-3 weeks to create prior to shipping, due to the extraordinary amount of time involved in creating it. During the busy seasons (the months prior to Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day) it may take longer to create your hand made jewelry before it goes in the mail.
Can you rush my order?
“RUSH PRIORITY” shipping is available for $25 at checkout and includes priority mail shipping. The extra fee allows your order to be bumped to the top of the list and guarantee it will leave the studio in 2 business days for stamped jewelry and 5 business days for custom handwritten/artwork jewelry. It will then ship via priority mail (2-3 days in the US).
“RUSH EXPRESS” shipping is available for $40 at checkout and includes express mail shipping. The extra fee allows your order to be bumped to the top of the list and guarantee it will leave the studio in 2 business days for stamped jewelry and 5 business days for custom handwritten/artwork jewelry. It will then ship via express mail (1-2 days in the US).
“RUSH INTERNATIONAL” shipping (for customers outside the U.S.) is available for $44 ($40.00 for Canada) at checkout and includes priority mail shipping. The extra fee allows your order to be bumped to the top of the list and guarantee it will leave the studio in 2 business days for stamped jewelry and 5 business days for custom handwritten/artwork jewelry. It will then ship via priority mail international (estimated to be 6-10 business days).
Do you ship internationally?
Definitely - Gracie & Me loves their international customers! International orders ship via Priority Mail International for $24.00 ($20.00 for Canada.) This is a flat rate regardless of how many pieces you order. Priority Mail International is estimated to take 6-10 business days (after completion of your jewelry.) However this is an estimate and it can take longer.
First Class International mail is also available in most countries, starting at $13.00 ($8.50 for Canada.) Please be aware that First Class shipping can take from 2-5 weeks (after completion of your jewelry.) If don't see the "First Class" option in checkout, please contact me so I can determine the price for you.
Tracking is not available on international packages, and I can not be responsible for packages delayed or lost by the postal service or the Customs Department.
Duty, taxes, and other customs fees charged on internationally shipped packages are the sole responsibility of the buyer. (It is against the law for me to mark international purchases as a "gift" on customs forms, please do not ask me to do so.)
Will you contact me if there's a problem with my order?
Yes! I will email you within 24 hours if I have questions about your order. When I have a question, I am usually unable to make your jewelry until I have an answer. Please give me a working email address, and make sure you check your email, including your spam folder, since emails sometimes get filtered as spam.
Is your jewelry sterling silver?
Yes, the majority of our jewelry is sterling silver, with the exception of the bezel birthstone, which is made by the Swarovski crystal company and comes silver plated.
I start with heavy gauge (thick) raw metal pieces, and never use "pure silver" metal clays.
Gracie & Me also has 14K gold, gold filled jewelry, argentium sterling silver and some pieces that are two-tone or tri-tone... combining sterling silver with copper and/or brass.
Can you personalize the back of the charms?
Most personalized charms can be personalized on the back, but not all. The charms that are available with personalization on both sides show that as an option.
Can I change the personalization that I gave you when I ordered?
You have up to 24 hours to change personalization on your jewelry. If you need to make a change after that time, there is a $20 service fee. For "RUSH orders", if your order hasn’t been started, you can change the personalization on your order...otherwise there is a $20 service fee.
What if I don't want the lettering blackened?
The letters on my charms are blackened by oxidizing. If you would prefer not to have black lettering, just me know in the "comments" box when you order!
How is my order packaged?
All gracie & me necklaces arrive in a reusable metal jewelry tin. See a picture here: gracie & me packaging
Single charm orders come packaged in an organza bag in order to keep the price affordable. (Charm listings have the option of purchasing a gracie & me jewelry tin) If you order a chain, key ring or bracelet along with your charm - it comes in a tin!
What forms of payment do you take?
I accept credit cards, debit cards, e-checks and Paypal through Paypal Standard. You do not need to have a Paypal account in order to pay by credit card through Paypal! Just click "Don't have an account?" and follow the directions. Paypal allows us to accept your e-checks and credit cards, while giving you the piece of mind that your name and other information is not being shared or stored on a website. If you have any problems with checkout, please contact me - I'd be happy to help you!
Please know that using an e-check can delay your jewelry by up to five business days. Your order can not be processed until the bank clears your check and Paypal releases the funds.
Can I add a gift note?
Yes! If you're having this mailed directly to the gift recipient, I would be happy to include a short note for you. Please let me know in the "notes" box when you order.
What if my name(s) don't fit on the charm that I want?
Please contact me so I can give you options!
Why didn't I receive a confirmation email?
Did you come back to the shop page from Paypal, to place your order? If not, then your order wasn't placed. Please place your order again, and be sure to come back to the shop to place your order.
Confirmation emails sometimes get filtered as spam. Please check your spam box for it, or email me so that I can resend it.
If you have a chain and you love the length - open the clasp, lay it straight on the counter, and measure it. Then you know exactly what length you like!
Otherwise, on an *average* size woman, a 16” chain is close to the collar bone. An 18” chain is upper chest, and a 20” chain is mid chest. (If the wearer is larger, the chain will be shorter than mentioned. If the wearer is smaller, the chain will be longer than mentioned.)
Can I exchange my chain for a different length?
Yes, if it's unworn, I'm happy to exchange your chain! Please contact me immediately to let me know you’d like to exchange it. Then, send back the unworn chain with a note telling me the size you would like and a self addressed stamped bubble envelope for me to return the new chain to you in.
Do you share my information with 3rd parties?
No! I respect my customers and feel honored that you place your trust in me. Gracie & Me does not share, sell or trade any customer information with any 3rd parties.
Do you charge sales tax?
If you live in Wisconsin, there is a 5.6% sales tax added, which is the amount that I am required to pay in my county.
How do I care for my jewelry? - or - Why did my jewelry tarnish?
Sterling Silver naturally tarnishes, especially in humid conditions. It can also tarnish because of perspiration, lotions, perfumes and a variety of other reasons.
Keep your jewelry as clean and dry as possible, and store it in the provided anti-tarnish bag when you are not wearing it. Make sure to read and follow the jewelry care instructions that are included with your jewelry.
If you decide to clean your sterling silver jewelry, please use a sterling silver polish cloth or pad. Do not use a liquid silver cleaner, since that will remove the darkness from the letters.
